I spent several hours setting the "ratings" on some WMA files, then replaced my computer, copied over the files, but was missing my ratings. To recreate them I just copied over the ratings database from:
C:\Documents and Settings\<my username>\Local Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Media Player\CurrentDatabase_219.wmdb
to the same location on my new computer. Did the trick for me.
