1800PetMeds -
http://www.1800petmeds.com

Our new vet doesn't carry heartworm medicine on site so we were referred to 1800petmeds.com to order our heartworm medication.  I was leery.  Most vets seem to be vehemently opposed to this site.  But the vet said it's a fabulous site and they do all the work for you.  So I went online and went through the steps to order the dog's meds.  It was simple and easy and the only information you need to have is your vet's name, phone number and address.  1800petmeds faxes the prescription request to the vet and (hopefully) your vet signs it and faxes it back.  In just a few days the medication did indeed arrive in the mail and it's the real deal.  I was very pleased with the ease of being able to order it and the site will remind me when it is time to reorder the medication.  I also liked that the site allowed me to order a year's worth of heartworm preventative whereas my previous vets never gave me the option to do that.  The only thing that keeps this site from getting a perfect rating are the prices.  They are a little higher than I am accustomed to spending.  While not insanely overpriced, they are higher than the medication had cost me at my previous vet.  But the ease of ordering and the timeliness of shipping will keep me going back.

Pixie says: "There was a pill in that treat?  Oh well, it was delicious."
Tuffy says: "You can't fool me into eating a pill by tucking into a treat.  No sir."

Celltei Pet on the Go Carrier -
http://www.celltei.com

After hearing the buzz about Celltei's carriers we decided to give them a try.  We purchased the Celltei Pet on the Go model in a size small and in the camouflage print.  We were immediately impressed by Celltei's customer service.  They were gracious and very accommodating and we really felt that they treat every customer like an individual.  Now, on to the product.  We received the carrier lightening fast and it is just packed with features.  Always being on the look for a hands free carrier that was stylish and functional had been fruitless until the Celltei carrier.  It met every single need we had.  The carrier is roomy with enough room for Tuffy (6 pounds) and his cousin Palbert (3 pounds) to fit in.  Of course it's meant just for one dog but in a pinch you can easily carry two.  The carrier has a long messenger style strap that can be shortened or lengthened depending on your needs.  There are two openings on each side of the carrier making it easy to remove the dog and for them to enter the carrier.  One opening sports a Velcro attachment so you can roll the end up and allow the dog to look around outside.  The inside of the carrier sports a comfy, removable padded floor mat, a water bottle holder which is just awesome, a small pocket and a leash hook.  The outside of the carrier has a large pocket on end of the carrier and the front of the carrier has a large pocket, pen holders and a cell phone pocket!  The strap also has a little zippered pocket!  It is just packed with extras.  The pockets are roomy enough to keep essentials on hand like pooper scooper baggies, treats and leashes.  Now, let's talk function and comfort.  The construction of the carrier is top notch, everything is very well made and we haven't had any issues with it.  The carrier is very comfortable to carry for extended periods of time.  The hands free aspect is just fantastic because you can be carrying items with your free hands now.  It is just made for shopping.  The carrier is also stylish; coming in a variety of colors and patterns.  We loved the camo because it was just a touch edgy and different.  Camo is also a great print for all those guys who want to carrier their pampered pets in a carrier that isn't covered in flowers.  Celltei also can custom create a carrier in your choice of fabric.  We have received an abundance of compliments on the carrier; everyone wanting to know where they can purchase one too. The price is just right for the Pet on the Go models though some of the other carriers do run a bit on the high side.  The price, however, is well worth it for a stylish and incredibly well made carrier.  Do yourself and your shoulders a favor and get one of these fabulous carriers.  With a huge selection of patterns, carrier styles and sizes, Celltei is a great choice for your next carrier.

Pixie says: "It's a comfy place to be while Mommy goes shopping."
Tuffy says: "I like it 'cause it comes in a non-girly print, manly camo."

Pet Pamper ID tags -
http://www.petpamper.com.au & on eBay

While cruising eBay for fun new pet things we came across a new and fantastic ID tag option.  Pet Pamper offers amazing little ID tags in a wide variety of fantastic colors and patterns.  Each tag is printed with your pet's name (in your choice of several fonts) on one side as well as with an optional graphic of your choice and the other side offers you 3 lines in which to put your contact information.  We were apprehensive at first as we worried a bit about the strength and durability of a tag that was printed.  But those fears were soon put to rest when we received our 3 beautiful tags.  The dogs have been wearing the tags for nearly a year and they are still in great condition.  The tags are very sturdy and are not plastic, they are metal tags printed with a fancy process that only Pet Pamper knows the secret to.  With the exception of a few teeny scratches that occurred when we were placing the tag onto their harnesses they still look great.  The price is fantastic as well for such a lovely tag.  The price for USA customers is currently $10.50 with free shipping.  The tags arrived in record time despite having shipped from Australia, Pet Pamper's homebase.  Considering how even plain ol' steel tags from the local pet store can run you nearly $6, these highly customizable and original tags are unbeatable.  Bottom line, these are great tags with tons of options to make them appeal to everyone.  We highly recommend the company and everyone should pamper their pet with a gorgeous new ID tag.

Pixie says: "My tag is girly, just like me!!"
Tuffy says: "Heck yes, my tag has a crown on it, 'cause I'm the King."

(Please disregard the spots that appear to be on the tags.. they were created by the camera flash.)

#006 Buttercomb from Chris Systems -
http://www.chrissystems.com

We were introduced to the wonderful world of Chris Systems products while at the Reliant Dog Show in Houston, Texas this past July and we haven't looked back since.  We asked a general question of what brush or comb would work the best on all kinds of dogs.  The answer, The Buttercomb.  Chris Systems' Buttercombs come in a variety of sizes.  The one we went home with was the smallest of the bunch, the #006. Taken directly from Chris Systems' website, the #006 Buttercomb is describe as:
"Fine/Coarse teeth face comb/Round Core, 5" Length Spine, 5/8"Teeth Length, One Half Teeth Spaced 24 Per Inch, Other Half Spaced 12 per Inch."
This particular buttercomb is indispensable for getting into those nooks and crannies around a dog's face where all the crusty stuff tends to accumulate.  While Tuffy and Pixie would tell you otherwise, their faces get pretty crusty in a few days.  This comb takes care of everything.  It glides through any kind of hair and pulls out all the yucky stuff.  It is also a great matt breaker.  Tuffy is cotton coated and tends to matt up after a few days and this comb effortlessly combs them out.  It really is amazing to see it just sweep through is cottony coat.  Pixie is silky coated and this is the perfect brush to just touch her up and keep her looking her best.  The comb is very well made, solid and will last a very long time.  Even through the nastiest, most stubborn matts the teeth never budged and never threatened to bend.  The only negative to this comb is the price.  It is priced around $24.  While it is worth that, it is a hefty investment.  There are several websites that sell Chris System products besides their actual website.  We purchased a 2nd Buttercomb from 3C Dog.com and their shipping price was less than the Chris Systems website.  All said, we highly recommend this comb and every dog owner should have one.

Pixie says: "I always look pretty after a fresh grooming."
Tuffy says: "I still hate being brushed, but at least this comb does the job fast."

Pet Flys Clothing -
http://www.petflys.com

Purveyors of wonderful carriers, Pet Flys has recently expanded into the dog clothing realm.  Pixie (and her mother of course) are suckers for being the first to have anything so we were thrilled to get to try a new dress from Pet Flys "Ready to Ride" line.  The specific dress we purchased was the Halloween dress which barely made it in time for Pixie to wear it.  The dress is adorable, it's a great shade of orange with an adorable glow in the dark Halloween picture on the back.  Very well made and super cute to boot.  The only problem we had with it was the odd smell coming from the glow in the dark portion on the back.  After letting it air out for a while the scent is still there but not as overwhelming as before.  The website claims that it's supposed to be strawberry scented but it just smells like plastic.  The price is very fair, especially for a brand name item.  Pet Flys clothing ranges in price from $20-$25.  And probably the coolest thing about the clothing line is that the styles match their fabulous carriers as well.  Most of the designs come in girl's sundress styles and boy's tank styles.  Sadly we were only able to get the sundress for Pixie as the boy's tank wasn't available at the time.  Hopefully we'll have the matching tank for Tuffy next year.  The line has 3 sizes: Small (3-5lbs), Medium (6-10lbs) and Large (11-16lbs).  Miss Pixie is usually somewhere around 5 lbs and we opted for the Medium size and it fits perfectly.  If in doubt, go a size larger.  Pet Flys Clothing is available on the Pet Flys website as well as other high end dog clothing sites such as ImAPreciousPup.com (which is where we purchased ours from.)  By the way, the adorable Halloween bow Pixie is sporting is from none other than HighStyleDoggy favorite, Marj!

Pixie says: "I'm ready to trick or treat."
Tuffy says: "I better get some yummy treats to make up for not getting a cute outfit too."

Marj's Bows -
http://www.myladysdogbows.com/

Marj (aka Lady's Mom on various forums) has a great talent for creating beautiful bows.  For anyone on that seemingly never ending quest to find a great, well made bow that doesn't break the bank, your journey has ended.  We really can't recommend Marj enough.  Her bows are exquisite and by far the most beautifully crafted bows I've come across.  Her online photo album showcases a variety of the bows she has created for people.  She also will create custom bows with your specifications.  Marj offers bows in two sizes, 5/8 for our smaller furry friends and 7/8 for our larger furry friends.  We personally purchase the 5/8 size for Pixie and the bows look spectacular on her.  Pixie gets showered with compliments every time she is seen in one of Marj's creations.  The pink and silver bow Pixie is sporting in the 1st picture below has actually been named after her!  So ask for the "Pixie Bow" if you like it.  Marj is also now creating it in a variety of other colors due to the demand for it!  Pixie, of course, is just thrilled that she made the bow famous.  The prices are also very low, especially for the workmanship involved in each order.  The bows are beautifully created; each one is made individually by hand and the centers are sewn rather than glued.

UPDATED:  Marj's Bows get a whooping 5 paws up review!  I just received a Halloween and a Thanksgiving bow from Marj and I could not be more pleased!!  They are beyond cute and I can't wait to get some pictures up here to show everyone. You really can't find better bows anywhere else.

Pixie says: "Bows just enhance my natural cuteness!"
Tuffy says: "Do you think she's cuter than me?!  Do I need a bow now?"

Merrick Pet Care -
http://www.merrickpetcare.com
In our endless search to find yummy things for the dogs to chew on we came across Merrick.  Having been urged to try the infamous "Bully Stick" (um.. yes, it's a bull penis, ick!)  we sought out to find a company that offered them at a reasonable price as well as in the least gross way possible.  Merrick offers a wide arrange of product besides the aforementioned Bully Stick.  Some of our favorite products are the Texas Toast, Lamb Ears and of course the Bully Stick.  All of the products come individually wrapped so they aren't sitting around in the open air with lots of fingers touching them in some bin at the local mega Pet store.  We really liked the re-sealable bag the Texas Toast came in.  Another perk Merrick offers is free shipping!  Merrick is located in Texas so if you are also in Texas you will be charged sales tax.  Merrick also offers a wide array of natural pet foods as well.  Merrick would have received a solid 5 paws but unfortunately the Bully Stick discolored the carpeting.  So keep the dogs on their own blankie if you don't want any stains.

Pixie says: "The Texas Toast is yummy!"
Tuffy says: "I can't get enough of those ears!"
